In the midst of the business of many things going here at the school and I just want to take this very moment just to send this email to you all. It is just a glimpse of what is going right now as I am serving here at the Pacific Islands University. I can only say that the faithfulness of God is way above and beyond my imagination on how he been taking me through many situations in my life. It is now coming to a year since I been here and I have seen many things that God has shown me and all are always reminding me of who he is and all his characters. Every time I think of all that I encounter here I always ended with the fact that he is in control of everything. Tonight I also had a chance to check my blog which its been a few months that I have not updated it, and so I am hoping to get going with it in the days to come.

I also want to ask for your support in prayer as I continue to serve here until when God will remove me. There are many things that is going on now and I just need your faithful support in prayer.

1. Pray for staff and faculty that we will continue to serve the Lord fully and be able to transform by his grace.
2. Pray for the Students as they are going through this semester for they will be able to finish well.
3. Some of the students have shared their desire to travel this summer doing mission work in the neighboring islands.- Pray for God's leading in their plans and for God's approval in all that.
4. Pray for the family of Iotaka Choram who is one of our professors that his mom passed away. Pray for God's comfort in the time of sorrow.
5. I am still finishing up my Graduate courses with the last my very last course, please pray for God's provision and ability to finish well.
6. Feb 1-4 We have the Story Crafting Conference going on now and pray for the presenters ( Sam and Maria Keckler, John McCabe and Rachelle Heverly) as well as the people that are attending so that they can learn more on how to effectively use their own story to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ to others.
7. Please pray for my ministry and relationship with the everyone here at PIU that I will have a teachable spirit and able to serve.
8. Pray for Pacific Missionary Aviation - PMF and the ministry there with the Children- need kids club teacher. Pray for the youth or the high school kids that I am leading a bible study with them on Fridays that God will continue to teach them his word.

October 20-22 We had the privilege to have someone that is gifted in the area of Preaching ministry come out to Guam and be our speaker for the preaching conference here in Guam. The conference was held at the Guam Reef Hotel and the room was filled with about 50 church pastors, leaders,and university students. The speaker was mainly speaking on sermon preparation that base on the bible and truly what it means to be preaching deep in Scriptures.

hi all, its been a while without any updates on this and I just want to say that its just because there has been a lot going on here. The Lord has done so much in my life and around me in the lives of others. I have been dealing with Recruitment and Alumni relations lately aiming to have 20 new students in the spring semester and also communicate with our Alumni so that they can help us on this. I am glad to have a team of staff, faculty that are on the Advancement team along with few energetic students that are ready to go out and talk about us at high schools around Guam. Truly its been a hard time for me with many things trying to understand, accomplish and many times will always takes away my focus and concentration. Please pray for me as I work that I will diligently lead our guys here at the school in way that really honors God. Pray that we will always glorify God in all areas of ministry. Here are some areas:
1. My responsibility here at PIU- resident assistant dean of the guys
2. Bible Study at PMA youth.
3. UOG ministry- students
4. Micronesian Communities Focus ministry-with FSM leaders, Lawrence and others.
5. Thanksgiving and Christmas ministry- in palau and saipan.

Just pray that God will continue to use us to awaken his churches here in the islands to rise up and serve him. This generation should be taken back to the LORD.

Beyond our Micronesian Horizons!

God is good! all the time! All the time! God is good! It has been a while I never get back to you. There’s a lot that the Lord is been doing and it is always a blessing to be part and victimized by his loving-kindness. Last couple weeks I was in Chuuk to do some recruiting work and am glad that we can accomplish the purpose of our trip. On the other side, I am thankful to God for allowing me to be in Chuuk during a briefing moment in the family for the loss of three people from the close family. As I look back my heart is full of joy and thanksgiving for his plan that he allows me to be home during that time. It was a great time to be with the family, meeting the Director of Education in Chuuk, and some brothers and sisters in the ministry.
Flew from Chuuk back to Guam and then on to Yap. Our team was doing a wonderful job in Yap in serving under Pastor Asael and the Yap Evangelical Church. We had a great opportunity to do different ministries-(Youth, Children, Prison and high school ) you can view some pictures on my blog- http://pwipwi7.blogspot.com/ and on Dave’s blog. Just continue to pray for the work as we are partnering to reach our own people for Christ.
Further out in somewhere, there was the team that sends to Sentani in Papua Indonesia we are so grateful for the wonderful work they did there and we are glad to see the partnership that has been develop in reaching the lost for the gospel of Jesus Christ. Further work is continued to develop as we move on this ministry.
Coming back to base- you might heard that there are lots of changes here at the school, there are some people that are not here anymore but all still serve the Lord. I am asking God, why all these happened? But anyways, it is a time for me to really putting my trust in the Lord to allow him to show me what to do in this situation. My heart is still at the mission work with students and to help them grow in their walk with the Lord. I really enjoy my time with the students last spring, this summer and hopefully this coming fall. I am looking forward to do more that I can do to prepare young men and women for the work of the Lord either in Micronesia or abroad.
Here are some prayer points that I am asking if you can pray for;
• Great awakening in the islands, churches and people to really realize their need of the Lord. There are many areas that we are still doing on our own. The Holy Spirit will take control.
• I am planning to take a small team to Saipan this Christmas break- to minister to my family and relatives and also visiting the churches there to encourage believers in their walk with the Lord.
• Pray for my time here at PIU to be productive in many areas of service- time with the Students that will build a trust-based relationship with them.
• As being part of the staff- my responsibility to the School as well as unto God.
• Pray for the beginning of this school year- God will help us to prepare all that is needed for the fall.
• All ministries here that we are involve in- God will continue to give direction and courage-(Ranch ministry- Lawrence, UOG ministry- Daniel, and some other churches that we are having relationship with.

The Summer turn out to be the most challenging time in our ministry as well as the school. If you remember we have been asking to pray for the teams that we send out in the beginning of May till the end of June. It has been a blessings to see how the Lord has used these two groups in those two different places.( YAP AND SENTANI-PAPUA INDO)

My trip to Chuuk was filled with many unexpected things in the family which demanding my time to be with family and relatives. There were three funerals when I was in Chuuk in spite all these I was able to accomplish much for the purpose of the trip to Chuuk. We visited some of the high schools and presenting the info about our English test and so we were able to have some students came to take the test. I was also able to meet the Director of the Chuuk State Education where by I was shock to hear that 153 non-degree teachers are to be laid off soon. I was sharing that the PIBC- alumni are impacting our communities by teaching in some of our elementary schools and I am willing to encourage them as well as our new graduates to consider teaching and investing in the life of our own kids in Chuuk.

The Indo- team spend 5 weeks interacting and learning under the GIDI leaders there and some other Church leaders. It was a challenging time for them to get to know those people there and experience their culture and many other things. They were encouraged as their worship with them and that is one of their experiences that really open their eyes to see that people there and how they come into the presence of the Lord as they worship. Same as the Yap team- their time in Yap has been so rich by being able to minister to people in Churches, schools and the prison. By being with them I can see that they were so connect with the people there. Their relationship is so strong where you can see the fruit of what they had been doing on daily basis.

It has been a long story since then but I think I will just wrap them up in short phrase which will describe it- Kot mei alukuluk ngeni ei seni lom tori feifeilochok. Coming into ministry always reminding me of the fact that I serve God not primarily people and this truth always bugging me every time I think of serving and doing ministry. Well, God is always faithful in bringing me here to work as the Alumni Relations Coordinator and also the SURGG prog. I am happy to deal with our my fellow islanders in preparing them for ministry and I think that is one of the most important thing that I can be doing in my whole life.

Here are some ways of supporting the work of the LORD.

1. Pray for Mission trips- we are sending three teams this summer. Two in Micronesia and one is going to be in a place outside Micronesia.
2. Pray for God's protection over all these students and the leaders.
3. Pray for the people in YAP and Palau that God will speak to them and they will be receptive to his word.
4. Pray for the needs of these trips.

5. I ask that you continue to pray for me that I will humble myself as a servant of HIM.
6. Pray for the graduates that God will direct them toward ministries and they will obey God's calling for their lives.
7. Pray for all that we all have the Love of Christ and serve one another in love.

There are many reasons why we will always give God praises! In fact they are countless and will always brought me to an awesomeness encounter with him. He brought me safely here and be able to get connect with people here in this school. I am happy for the great friendship they show me and great hospitality toward my limited-ness. I pray that this time would be a fruitful and god-honoring moment in my life as I interact with students, staff and Alumni.

Another step forward! This how I see the all these that are set before me and I am glad to let the Lord leads me in every step that I take as I follow him. I am thankful that the Lord has been leading me to different ministries where I see the Lord is nurturing my spiritual walk with Him. I have been surrounded by loving men and women of God and community of believers that they encourage me to walk humbly closer to my God in faith. There are many areas that God has been teaching me and I have been wrestle with by asking the Lord to continue to direct my heart into his way.
I am preparing both spiritually and physically to meet the challenge of coming out to serve in Guam at PIU. Recently I am in southern California for some family visit but above all for the ministry that God has placed here in the ANCC. ANCC is a multi-cultural fellowship that based in Pasadena California that reaches out to all people from different ethnicity. I have seen the beauty of being in contact with some other believers from different nationalities. I see the beauty of how God work things out for his own glory.
Very soon I am going to fly out to Guam where I will be served at the Pacific Islands University communicating with Alumni and recruitment for Chuukese students. I will be living on the campus with the students and I am praying that God will truly allow me to invest in the lives of the young ones there. While in Guam we will be preparing for a 6 wk mission work in Sentani, Indonesia where we know that it is the most populated Islamic nation in world today. I ask that you consider partnering with me in the work of the Lord in this part of the world. Truly we can be all involved in the work by many ways, you can pray that God will guide everything and you can also seek to give financial contribution to this. This is a work God for the church of Christ and we are privileged to be part it. Please continue to seek the Lord and ask him how you can be part of this mission. I am glad to evaluate how much God has been taking me so far, it has been so much blessings to in spite of all that I faced in my life. I truly see the love of God as he always reminding me of who is he is and all that he can do in my life. He has been preparing me for the ministry in so many relational ways.

1. I am thankful that I am able to finish up the two courses.

2. Am preparing for the ministry in Guam.

3. Being able to connect to other ministry and developing the PIIM vision.

It has been amazing to look back and to see how God is working through many situations that we are involved in. I now live in Hilo for about two – three months and it has been great to learn and to serve with these people here. Everywhere I go I ask God to show me how I can be used and to serve in that place and I am thankful to the IYAA for allowing me to serve in the ministry with them.
In the mean time I am taking up the offer to work at the Pacific Islands University in Guam which I believe that can play a vital role in reaching my goal and work toward my vision for the islanders. I will be working with Steve Stineette developing the mission program that called SURGG and I am looking forward to learn and to serve the students as well as the churches in Micronesia. Hopefully, the end of January or the middle of February I will be leaving for Guam. I ask that you please support me in your prayer so that the work I will do will further God’s kingdom amongst the islanders as well as a means to reach the least reached people group abroad.
In the mean time I am in Hilo , Hawaii serving with the IYAA- Leading Bible studies here as I taking some online courses. It has been a blessing to finish two courses and hopefully January the 3rd I will start for another 2 courses. (ICLS- 507 Collaborative Leadership, and the ICLS 508 Visions and Strategic Planning. Please pray for me as I prepare to move into that ministry and that I will be able to manage these classes along with new placement in ministry with responsibilities. As I prepare to move on I ask that you support me in prayers so that I can be able to work and glorify God in all my responsibilities there at PIU. I will also have to raise a little fund for that so I am asking for your heartfelt giving into this ministry of training and sending out workers for the Lord. I am asking for your prayer as I consider to take up the offer to serve the LORD in Guam at the Pacific Islands University. These are the areas for which I will be serving in;
1. working for me in the Advancement Department as our Alumni Relations Coordinator, not only communicating and relating to all of PIU's alumni all over the world wherever they are, planning alumni events and such, but also primarily being the guy in charge of recruiting Chuukese students to come to PIU; and 2. working with me on developing our missions program, called SURGG.

Christmas preparation in fact on the most busiest holiday in the world yet many don't believe in it. I was reminded on being in m- community and it was not even look like a month of celebrating the coming of our LORD JESUS CHRIST, because there were nothing that people do except sitting around in town chewing the Mirah, this is a kind of plant that they chew it and they get high from it. Christmas was not shown by neither by decorations and how people react in that town. One day one of the M-guy greeted me by saying Merry Christmas and that really puts me in that deep questioning mood, how can he say that but yet they don't hold the true meaning as we do and celebrate it.
Christmas in Hilo, has been so amazing to be with the IYAA group and to celebrate Christmas with them. On the 25th we have our small groups presentations where by it was very interesting to see and hear many different songs about the birth of Jesus and dramas and skids. I praise God for giving the opportunity to share his word in this gathering. I shared out of Matthew 2:1-12.( appointed time by God, God's only gift, God must be worshiped)

On the 26th we have the gathering for all our chuukese churches here on the Big Island and still I am amazed by the creativity of the groups in their songs and dramas about Christmas. The IYAA presented the one called " Break Through" this is attributed to the fact that Christ's coming into the World breaks through many stronghold-( human wisdom, human tradition, power of sin and many many more...)
Our celebrating Christmas is truly pointing to the fact that He is coming soon and we are living in the full anticipation of his glorious return. O what a beautiful day that will be?

This morning I had to walk down the road and just pray for the Christmas gathering here in Hilo. I have come to a realization that its just a tradition-type event whereby we always celebrate it as the time comes on hand. What more to it????? anything?????
I have been summoned to speak in this gathering today and I am blessed by the LORD with the message of the Cross or the gospel of Jesus Christ himself lay aside everything to walk this earth seeking you and me for we are lost in our sins.

10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost.”

Jesus came to save us form our sins- what shall I rendered unto the LORD?

Psalm 119.
89 Your word, LORD, is eternal;

Today we are going to celebrate and commemorate the birth of our LORD Jesus Christ, by worship with songs and different presentations of the message of CHRISTMAS.

I pray that our lives be in tune with the WORD of God which will results in total obedience and submission to God and to people.

December-2010 Merry Christmas & Happy New Year
It has been wonderful how God has work in my life since I came back to Hawaii. I came out from the mainland knowing that I will be in Hawaii for educational purpose but the Lord twisted it a bit and turn it into a very wonderful experience to go back to Chuuk and be there for three 3 months. Upon coming to Hawaii I now reside in Hilo, Hawaii and this is one of the wonderful parts of the islands of Hawai’i. I have been involved in the IYAA-group since my arrival. IYAA- International Young Adult Association it is a ministry within the United Church of Christ- Hawaii Conference. The IYAA is under the Holy Cross church in Hilo and the members were mostly islander that attended the University of Hawaii at Hilo and couple members of the church. This group is also a supporter for the mission that I had in Africa. I cannot thank them enough for their generous giving to the Lord’s work in Kenya.
I have been helping the group with leading Bible studies with them which I see that it is the very reason of my coming to Hilo. I believe that God is open up this opportunity and I don’t want to take it lightly. We have done few fundraising for the ministry and some family related things to the group. I also had opportunity to share with a small family church and been waiting for the other churches to set our time with them in the year coming.

My online classes are now coming to the end and it’s been a challenge for me but I see that the Lord is helping me through everything. I had 2 courses- ICLS 503 Perspective on Intercultural Leadership and ICLS 504 Intercultural Communication. I thank God for giving the ability to attend and understand many things that can enhance my effectiveness in the intercultural engagement. Hopefully, this summer I can be done with all and that is a huge part of my life.
Recently I have been looking for Job and I have not job and have not able to find any. I live on support from family and friends and I am thankful for their generous giving to my every need. The Lord has been doing and refining my life through many situations.
I ask that you pray for me as I continue on this ministry especially that I will be in tune with God with what he wants me to do. Many times we tend to seek what pleases man. Here are few prayer requests that I am asking your generous help with praying for:
1. The ministry here in Hilo, with IYAA, Churches, family and friends….
2. My education that I will be able to finish everything and that the Lord will provide for it.
3. For me as I look for Job so that I can able to support myself and some other related things.
4. I have concern for my mom’s health and I want to ask for praying that God will provide for her to be able to check up and get medication.
5. Continue to pray for all ministries that we are part of that we will work in peace and unity. I have heart to mobilize the islanders for the work of God and I need prayer for that. I just want to share this with you whoever is seeing it, it is a news letter from Paul Washer and I just want us to have a fresh update on what is going on the other side of the world.

I must say that I was devastated. Although I have worked in missions for over twenty years, I have never seen anything like the 10/40 window. For those of you not familiar with such terminology, the 10/40 window is a rectangular area of North Africa, the Middle East and Asia approximately between 10 degrees North and 40 degrees North latitude. It is often called "The Resistant Belt" and includes the majority of the world's Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists. An estimated 4.43 billion individuals residing in approximately 8,808 distinct people groups are in the 10/40 Window. We only need to read the following facts, taken from the Joshua Project, to be brought to weeping:

• Of the 16,562 people groups by country, 6847 are still considered unreached, totaling 2,772,136,000 individuals.

• Of these 6,847 groups, 5,902 are in 10/40 Window countries. That means 86% of all unreached people groups are in the 10/40 Window.

• An estimated 2.69 billion individuals living in approximately 5,902 unreached people groups are in the 10/40 Window.

• The 10/40 Window contains the largest unreached people groups over one million.

• The 10/40 Window contains the overwhelming majority of the world's least evangelized megacities -- that is those with a population of more than one million. The top 50 least evangelized megacities are all in the 10/40 Window!

• The 10/40 Window contains four of the world's dominant religious blocs. The majority of the followers of Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, as well as the Non-Religious bloc lives within the 10/40 Window.

• The 10/40 Window is home to the majority of the world's poor. Of the poorest of the poor, more than eight out of ten live in the 10/40 Window. On average, they exist on less than a few hundred dollars per person per year. There is a remarkable overlap between the poorest countries of the world and those that are least evangelized.

The 10/40 Window includes numerous spiritual strongholds. The billions of people who live there have suffered not only the ravages of poverty and disease, but have also been kept from the transforming power of the Gospel. They are poignant examples of the truth expressed in II Corinthians 4:4, which states, "The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so that they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God."

Who can read this and say it is the will of God? Who would dare say they know His secret counsels of which He has not spoken in His Word? He has told us, even commanded us, to go! He has made it clear that we are to preach the Gospel to EVERY CREATURE, but our response has been:

“I have bought a piece of land and I need to go out and look at it; please consider me excused… I have bought five yoke of oxen, and I am going to try them out; please consider me excused…. I have married a wife, and for that reason I cannot come” (Luke 14:18-20).

Brothers and sisters, let it not be said of us that we tarried before the greatest open door the Church has ever seen to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It can be done! It must be done!

Upon returning from the 10/40 window, the staff at HeartCry set themselves to praying for an advance. There were forty missionaries who were approved and ready, but the funds were needed. We kept the matter concealed among us and made our requests known to God. After two months of feeble praying and little faith, the Lord has done it! One family in the U.S., who desires to remain anonymous, contacted HeartCry with the burden to live the faith they professed, and to know the joy of disinterest in and sacrifice of self. Without any communication between us, they had been praying about supporting missionaries in India with the exact amount that was needed to support the forty new missionaries! Praise the Lord! God has moved them to support the whole group of men! We will soon be traveling to India to make the final preparations for this new advance.

Thus, we remain a mixture of joy and burden. Joy for the forty and all that God may accomplish through them; and yet burden for the remaining need. What are forty new men in light of four billion lost people! Some will say that we are seeking to put out a forest fire of gigantic proportions with an eye dropper. Though this is true, we have learned that there is no limit to what the Lord can do with the smallest and weakest of men and endeavors. Pray that God will continue to teach them sound doctrine through their study of God’s Word. Pray that they will be filled with the Holy Spirit and great power. Pray that the fruit of the Spirit will be manifest in their lives. Pray that the mighty walls of this spiritual Jericho might fall before the Gospel of Jesus Christ! And pray that the Lord will send countless more laborers into His harvest, so that every creature on the face of this earth might hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ in our generation.

Praises and honor be unto the LORD, today I just felt encourage to jot down something specifically to marks the greatness of our God as he deals with me on daily basis. I see that many times in my life I tend to overlook every small things that are pointed to the way of living a thanksgiving and joyful life.

How do we know that he is God? I think many times we try to seek him on our own so-called human effort but what does it mean to be still and know that he is God? This Psalm 46 is conveying a message of hope in Him as our refuge, ever-present help in trouble. This is a message of hope in Him, by being in his presence we can be able to experience his love and security. By living in the stillness of his presence we can be joyfully serve him with no matter what will come our way.

I am glad to be at this church to see where the first Christian missionaries under the approval of the chief erected the first church in the Hawaiian islands. The church was build in 1820 and became the very initial mark of mission work to the rest of the islands. The Mokuaikaua church is there to mark the faithfulness of God in bringing the gospel to the islanders. I am amazed by the work of your hands Lord in the lives of certain people.

This morning I woke thinking of this how am going to minister here (hilo) with different people group that are intermingle with each other? It really deepen my concentration on the word of God as I carefully look into that. I am now preparing for my two online courses- ICLS 502 Jesus As Leader and ICLS 504 Intercultural Communication and yet that still bother to think and asking the Lord, how am going to be involve in the work here with fear of him and honoring the people. As began to deal cross culturally I began to realize the uniqueness and its beautiful stains that left us with. I see the faithfulness and grace of God in the process of enculturation. ( we are to live as people praise-ers and worshipers of GOD.

As you read all these, I humbly ask that you stand with me in prayer for these things as follows;
1. That I will faithfully rely on the Lord for this ministry. (IYAA and all in hilo, Big Island hawaii.
2. Pray for that series on the book of James that God will continue to humble my heart to understand and share it effectively.

I am grateful that God allows me to come back to Hawaii and to go further on what I have been thinking about that I will do when I get to Hawaii. I believe that my coming back to Hawaii is also a moment where God can use to prepare me for is ministry as I go through all these ministry here in Hawaii.

Upon my arrival I am able to speak at the retreat of the IYAA. The retreat was going for about one day and a night long where we enjoy the fellowship with each other and especially with the Lord. We divided in the two groups the couples and the singles and so I had the opportunity to speak with the singles on Psalm 119:9-12.

Please continue to pray for me as I start to involve in the IYAA Bible studies. I am now on schedule for leading Bible studies.

God has been faithful to us by sustain his work here in Atlantic, Iowa. Although there were many confusions, disappointments and complex situations but He is faithfully guide our steps unto his way that we always recognize his greatness over everything.
“For the LORD is a great God, and a King above all gods. In his hands are the depths of the earth; the heights of the mountains are his also.” Psalm 95:3-4
I have been assisting Rev. Ancherson William in the preaching ministry at the Chuukese Christian Fellowship –CCF since August 2008 until March 2009. It has been a blessing to me just by ministering to these people in many ways. I live with them and experience what come their way and I see all that as preparation for future ministry. I see that we have been growing together in many ways which reflects the greatness of our God. He binds us together with his love which enables us to fulfill his command that we must love each other just as we love our selves. With that I see the positive feature of being taking online courses and at the same time see the practical aspect of it by ministering and leading this church. God has prepared me for a step ahead.
It is now time to move on to what the Lord has set before me. I may be going back to Chuuk to help out at the school in Tol for a semester and that is great opportunity that has set before me. I have been asked to help by teaching (Intro to Missions and Intro to World Religions.) I am preparing for these courses so that our lives will be challenged and see what the Lord has set for all of us.
I ask that you consider remembering these as you are with your Lord.
 CCF- they will be strong in their faith in Christ- we are taking them on series on the book of James- Living Faith.
 For my transition to that ministry at the school, God will help me as I prepare.
 Continuing Distance Ed. That I will be able to catch up again- God’s provision.
 Time with family and relatives- In Hawaii and Chuuk they will understand what I am going to present to them- my involvement in Ministry.
 Establishment of the ministry in the Islands and around the world- Pacific Island Ministries (PIM) need God’s direction.
 I will be traveling with Rev. William and we will be meeting people in Hawaii- need guidance in all matters.
God will lead us all into his glorious purpose that we may live for his glory alone.

The Lord has been gracious to me in all different situations, many times I failed to understand but then every days of my life brings hope and comfort as I remember to look to his word for his wonderful love and comforting presence. Blessings from the Lord our God be upon us as we serve him, “Let us come into his court with Joy and thanks giving.”
We had been involved in the Christmas program for the Chuukese Churches in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Minnesota. I am now based in Lewis Iowa assisting the Pastor of the Chuukese Christian Fellowship in Atlantic, Iowa which is 8 miles away from where I live. Since this is a small church which was established two years, we are still in the process of fostering them with biblical truths that they may be firm in their faith and that they will understand their mission as a body of Christ existing in this place. I serve as an assistant to the Pastor but I also involved in the overall leadership and administration of the Church. I am now recently talking courses online with the same school in Minnesota which recently launched a Certificate and Masters Program in Intercultural Leadership. I am hoping to finish this program in the year coming and move on to what the Lord has for me. The Lord has been open up door for me to help some of our young leaders from the Chuukese Church in Minnesota. I have been producing and translating some of helpful resources regarding spiritual growth and sermon preparation for them.

Prayer points:
• Pray for this Church as I leave, they will be faithful to the Lord.
• Pray for my Online Ed. That I will be able to finish everything God will continue to provide.
• Pray for the ministries in our Churches. ( Pacific Islands Ministries)

Wow... it is very interesting to see what the world around us is doing for and concerning Christmas. I am amazed to see the other side of the it where the darkness is trying to eradicate the true message of Christmas out by putting a lots of stuffs in it. Its not a long beared man dressed in Red and whilte but it is the work of the Holy Spirit within our hearts to understand why Jeohva gave his son for me and for you.

It is just amazing to think about that. Let us pray for our loved ones that this time could be a time to encounter the work of the Holy Spirit and they will respond in total obedience.

Praise and Glory to God our Father who has given us strength in the ministry that he has called us to.
It has been a challenging time just to look at the faithfulness of God in the midst of the worldly distractions as we serve him. He is always faithful to his church and we are honored to be part of it. My time here in Iowa has been just a reentry into this ministry and we are depending on the leading of the Holy Spirit as we get into it. I am happy to serve the body of Christ along with many that are still faithful to their Lord and I believe that the Lord will continue to use us. Here are some areas that we need your support as you remember us;

Last weekend I went with Bryan one of my classmates, him and his wife are preparing to go on mission filed for long term in South Africa. We went out to his parents place where his parents just took up the ministry there at the Church called Clear Lake Baptist Church.We had Sunday service there were Bryan's mom shared her testimony and it was just amazing how the Lord change her and here relationship with her family. It was the faithfulness and the love of God that change her mindset and that He is still faithful to her until toady. The Lord blessed here with Children that are serving the Lord.They are pastoring this church.

Coming back to the very last class here, this class I don't really sure what to call it because it about the church persecution and it looks at what the Bible is telling us about persecution. I think is has been challenging just to look at history how many believers that gave up their lives for Christ. Until today we still have some parts of the world that people are still facing persecution for their faith in Jesus Christ. I think this is a reminder to all of us that we are to face persecution in various ways but we all have hope which never fade. It gives us the assurance of what many believers throughout history based their hope on while facing hardships.

Our hope rests in the one who loved us and gave up his life for us. we have to remember that we are preaching the Good news of Jesus Christ not of any figure of this world.
"The Good news that can not be hidden behind prison bars in China,
Nor decay by the fire of the Roman Empire,

Missionary Forlough Seminar

I never thought that re-entry is a big deal for missionary that are coming back from the field. This week we have been learning from couple of our missionaries that are back for furlough this year. It has been great to sit in these sessions where they were addressing many different issues that missionaries face on the field as well as when they return home for furlough.
I also had chance to hangout with many of their kids that are with them for this two week seminar. It is real things that they were talking about.

Last night me and couple student went up 4hrs North of Minnesota to a church called United Methodist Church of Sebeka, the name of the small town up there. We had a wonderful time just to encourage the youth group at that church and got to know them. Their youth pastor was a graduate of Northwestern College in Minneapolis along with Caleb Simon brother of one of my classmates and tow other girls, these are the people that they lead these kids in their spiritual walk with the LORD.

Fourth of July.....
I was in Michigan and on the night of the 4th We were watching fireworks that were shooting out in the sky. It pretty exciting to see different colors of fireworks.....those stuffs are gorgeous. We were just relaxing and hangout with the family that we were staying with. On this day there was only one thing that came into my mind and it was just pray for America as they celebrate their independence day.
When I did that I just had in mind about what about freedom to the whole world? It just brought me back to the fact that we all need to experience his freedom everyday. As we face every day's situation we just need to stop and ask God for his peace which will give true peace and satisfaction.

You may be aware of the shocking news about the closing down of all the sites of the Pacific Islands Bible College in Chuuk which leave the Churches, parents,Alumni as well as the Chuuk State and FSM Government a lost sense of direction. The school has founded way back in Chuuk to respond to the need of the Micronesian Islands to have trained lay-worker and pastors.
Today the school is no longer in Chuuk and it is no longer within our reach like we used to. With some reasons we understand the deep cry of the people in Chuuk for the having a Bible training School for our children.

The Evangelical Churches of Chuuk along with some MIBS and PIBC Alumni are committed to take on the request by establishing a Bible Training School- which will be called MIBC- Micronesian Islands Bible College. It is our prayer that God will help us to establish this school and it will focus on helping the young people to Know Christ and to serve Him.

As of now we are planning to help those students that were left unfinished with their study at the Pacific Islands Bible College by re-opening this school-MIBC. With this we ask your support in prayer and also in funding of this school- we will reopen this school and we need about $130,000.00 to operate everything for about 50-60 enrollments. The true appreciation for all our dads for being role models in our lives has been portrayed through and from the word of God. First when I think of my dad, I just can not recall everything that I am so appreciative for and this just leads me to the fact that the word of God speaks clearly of that picture of a dad.

Psalms 68: 5 A father to the fatherless, a defender of widows,
is God in his holy dwelling.

This really shows the picture of fathers toady how they should live and viewed by people of the community. There is the significant role in which God has given the fathers in which it will shape the life of the family and I think we can also look at it in the larger picture as the church.

Ministry week- 09

This week we had our outreach ministry to different people group within the Twin cities. It was really a challenge for me just to step out in many of these activities that we were doing because I never done some of them before in my life. By the way, the great thing is we had the opportunity to speak to people (Native Americans- the Jipewa tribe) in their homes and just pray for them. Some of them were asking for prayer that God will break the bondage and addiction to drugs and alcohol within the native homes. We also had the opportunity to hold up signs along the road- displaying that only Jesus is the answer to all our problems. We had different responds from people but it was great some people were actually stop and asked why are we doing it. It just open up opportunity to have conversation with people and share Christ with them.

Finally today, we had a cook out at the Lutheran Evangelical Chruch in Minneapolis where we invited many people to came and so about 150 men,women, youths and kids where there. Amazingly, there were many of them gave their lives to Jesus, many were recomitted their lives and many were still asking a lot of questions about following Jesus. There were many of them that they asked to prayed for and so we had a booth where few students were just dedicated to pray for people and offer spiritual help.
The Lord has given us a good day of ministering to all these people. We worship the Lord with joy and thanksgiving in our hearts for all that he has done. He is worthy to be praise!!!!!

As the days goes by I realized that I need grace in order to stay on track with all my home works and at the same time involving ministries. I began to involve in feeding the homeless downtown Minneapolis where it just bring me to an awareness of their spiritual status. It also a great - exposed on my part as to step out in faith and being available for them just to pray for them and to show them that they are loved. God is still loving them..... It is just sad to hear different stories that they went through and that caused them to be on the street all day and night.

Ministry- prep week/ June 1-12 we are now getting ready for the ministry week which we (seniors) will be leading the underclassmen in different areas of ministry. Through out this week we are planning all the logistics for the week which includes- Transportation, communication, food, and many other necessities for this ministry week. For this reason, I ask that you pray for us as we plan out things that will be done in God's will.

Pray for our spiritual nourishment- we will be spiritually ready to minster the gospel in and with people that are still belongs to this world.
Pray for safety over the six-groups of students- each will be going into different parts of the town, some places are risky.
Pray for the leaders- Seniors and all the team members- wisdom, understanding, unity , obedience, humble and fear God.
Pray for me as I engage in all these and at the same time I have to write all my final paper/projects God will give me wisdom and understanding but not stress out.
Seniors- special project/ ministry- we preparing for some events where by we will going out to youth groups and preach the Gospel to them. this project called RING THE BELL- basically it is just an awakening for young people now in our churches that they will see what it really means to follow Jesus.
Pray for God's direction for me after this, I will be sensitive to his plan for me and the ministry.

It was on a beautiful evening of Friday the 15th of May couple men from Namoluk pulled in at the front side of the Bethany College of Missions campus in Bloomington, MN. These men were so eagerly want to see the Mall of America, so I jumped in with them and we went to the Mall where they were amazed by the size and the beauty of the Mall.
We drove all the way down to Iowa where they live and they did not stop talking about the Mall. we had a birthday party on saturday where there were many Namolukese came and hangout with us. I was not able to get to know all the people that were there but I'm telling you, there were a lot of sea food pwal piik.
Any way I had a chance to meet few people that are part of our fellowship there which I was able to stand in front of them on the service on Sunday. I thank God for the time that I had with them that I was able to share with them base on the topic they gave me. Praise God that the vision and the mission has been set and we are ready to receive the new team and be able to work under what we have accomplished. we are also privileged to be invited to a meeting for different Mission Organizations in Kenya which is to set up new network of mission not just for Kenya but also for the rest of the African nations. Wow!!!! just by attending this meeting, I had seen a great need and the urgency of fulfilling the Great Commission for all of us. This always brings me back to Micronesia, how are we doing?????? I pray that God will stir up this passion of reaching out for our brothers and sisters that they have not know HIM.

We praise God for our safe trip from Garissa to Nairobi yesterday and so today we are on vacation. The team will split up to different places the four ladies and a guy are flying out to US while three of us will be remain on the African Continent.

Bryce and I may fly out to Malawi in order to leave East Africa so that our visas can be process. So far we are still in Nairobi and we will be wondering around to see different parts of the country.

I ask that you will continue to pray for us as we continue to seek God's guidance in all these.

It is indeed our joy to always acknowledge God's goodness to us in our daily living. We have even seen his goodness which even pass our understanding. Now its three weeks from our break and as we are facing a bit problem with getting our visas extension, we have to leave the East African countries in order to get the next three months visas. So in this case we have to consider many things especially financial side because this will affect our budget for the next couple months.

Any way, our time here in Nairobi is great, we are staying with Jason and Becka. We have enjoyed our time together eating good food and just having fun. The Witt are expecting their second born baby this week and we ask that you pray for them as they go through this.

It has been great ever since we arrived here in this remote and beautiful place. Our time here is approaching the end just in 3 weeks from now and the LORD has been and always sustain us in many different areas. It is also a preparation for us as we look forward to Garrisa, this would be a lot different from here not just the place and the environment but also in deep spiritual preparation for the battle there.

OoOOO This week is one of our busiest week because we have a lot of ministry opportunities that are schedule. We are going to minister to the students at the Tumaini University, Fikiria Kwanza Academy and some other secondary schools. Today we went to the Rehabilitation Center in Usa and it was so challenging to see all these disable people trained fro different skills like sewing, construction, welding, and so many other areas of training. We are in the second month of our language training here in Makumira, Tanzania and we have experience a lot of things with in our personal lives and also with the people that we are interacting with them. First of all, I could say that these people are so nice to us as they know that we are missionaries learning their language and culture. Just by walking around in this neighborhood everyday doing the Language Lab assignments I began to understand little bit of their Culture.

Aside from that, on a larger scale the Lord has just open up so many opportunities to visit many churches around these villages and there are some that are still waiting for us to come. We are so glad for the placement that God has for us, that we will be learning the language in an environment that is so supportive. God has blessed us with many friends around these places who are willing to teach us the language on a relational level. I really enjoy just going out and meet people in their farms and in their homes and just talk with them.

RIZIKI- DAILY BREAD

The Lord has reminding me of one thing as I read through the book of Nehemiah. I put myself in the context of what was going on with Nehemiah and the people of Israel when they rebuilt the wall of Jerusalem. They were much opposition to the work of the Lord, but yet the LORD has give them three words. (Joy, hope and protection) God has reminding them that He is their joy, hope and protection in times of troubles from their enemies. In the same way we are called to do a mission and there are much opposition along the way here and there but the LORD is my joy, hope and protection.

This on of the churches that we have been going to, here we met with this Pastor just outside the church building. Me and couple from the team have been gone out with him to some other churches in the association of the Lutheran Evangelical Churches of Tanzania. So far we have been visiting four churches in Usa River the town that we live in. We have experienced many things from different people and churches and especially that we are also blessed just by being together with our brothers and sisters in Christ and worship the LORD.

Prayer Request:

Continue to pray for me and my team as we do this work that God will continue tell us what to do. Just to be led by the Spirit of God in everything.

Pray also for us as we prepare for transitioning up to Garrisa which is a different environment base on the people and their religion. Also for Dan Germo as he work on all these.

Pray for us as we continue to reach out with these people in this village. We are preparing a drama, testimonies, songs and many things for the youths and kids.

For our physical health as we live in these places that is different from where we came from.

Continue to pray for the financial support of the work that we are doing, God will provides according to his riches and glory.

Salamu kutoka Africa:

Hakuna Mungu Kama wewe! This is a phrase in Swahili language which describes our sincere gratitude to our God for his goodness. The phrase means that “There is no one like you God!”You are so good to us in every aspects of life. We are just amazed with all that YOU have done with us and in our lives.

Living in the middle of nowhere is like lost in the goodness of God!!!!!!

So far it has been three weeks now since arrived here in Tanzania and this place is just a very peaceful for us as we learn the language. As of now I could say that learning the language is our main focus right now because it will be only for three months. We are trying our very best to engage in conversation with the people around here and especially with the people in the churches that we are going to. It’s a big challenge to us to learn this language in this length of time so we are depending on the grace that God has given us and within that we can able to speak this language.

Along with this we are now starting to going out to some Churches around this place and as so far we have a lot of requests from Pastors from Churches to come visit them. This would be consider as our ministry within this three months because we are now practicing what we learn in the language class as we go into these churches.

Spiritual Nourishment:

We eat a lot of healthy food out here!!!!!!! We are now going into the book of Galatians for our spiritual meal as a group. As we are looking into this letter to the Galatians we are truly see how the life of those people that lived around that time and how that apply to us today especially in a cross-cultural context. This letter to the Galatians reminds us that we are free from under the law and that we are to live in freedom based on what Jesus has done for us on that cross of Calvary. “I am free!!!!!!!!!”

Everyday life!!! We have classes on Monday through Friday every week and that is from morning to noon and we also have one hour session in the afternoons. Another part of our daily routine is that we are taking turn for meals cooking and so each one has his/her assigned day to prepare meal for all of us. This is a huge experience for me as I began to learn to make some African food. We all learn how to cook different kinds of food it is just a fun thing for me.

Ministry:

Other than just being having personal interaction with the people in these churches that we have been to, we also have some opportunities to involve in their ministries. We have been invited to participate in their ministries and that we are looking forward to these events. It is indeed my privilege to share all these with you so that you will keep us in prayer for that. Here are some of the things that you can join us in praying for:

1. Pray for our team as we get involve in these churches and that we will be sensitive to the will of God for these ministries. (We are preparing a drama for the youths at the churches and the schools that we are going to visit them).

2. Pray for us as we continue to learn the language, so that we may be able to communicate to these people clearly.

3. Continue to pray for us as we are preparing for Garrisa that would be a lot different from where we live now, because there more Muslims and that is where are going to work.

4. Continue to pray for our needs as we are here, it is that I may continue to trust in God in his provision through many different ways. (Financially).

Hi and hello,

It has been after couple weeks after our arrival in Kenya. We are so thankful that we arrived safely and went through so many things with Dan and some people that also part of our team as we are here in Africa. The orientation week went well and we are able to get acquainted with some stuffs concerning Kenya and its culture. Above all we are also reminded of the fact that all is for the glory of God.
We are now in Tanzania on the TIMO - compound and it is a nice place to be. We had a lot of banana tress around the campus and also monkeys are all around this camp. Our language training just started today an it was so challenging an fun.

Today we had a good discussion in our tutoring program with the Somali people because we were talking about " VALENTINE'S DAY" and how important to us today. It was just an amazing moment to present the reason why we love each other with them. Our translator was pointing out that it is because our God is love and that He send his Son to die for our sins. Some of them they were really like to discuss more on love, they even point out what love is in their culture and what they think what love is in general. I believe it is just a good foundation to build on as we reach them with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Well, they have the concept of love which is the same as other countries, they know what's good side of it and the bad side of it.

This week has been a challenging moment as we are involving in the SALT tutoring program at the Bethlehem Baptist Church in Minneapolis. Along with this we are still waiting of the final outcome of the assessment on the Internship sites situation. We've been told that there are some progress in peace negotiation with the two parties, but we will just continue to pray that God will accomplish his plan through all these.
" Someone says that as we continue to pray for peace, problems may continue to reveal because that is the way it should be. Justice will reveal all the problems by putting them on the service and that peace will reveal."
Please continue to pray for that all the problems will be expose and there will be peace among the nations. Our God is a God of justice and peace.

Wow.......this is a saying from the leader of one of the parties in Kenya. Today we had a meeting with the leaders here on campus;

Mr. Paul Hartford- Internship supervisor-
Mr Ken Krause - Director Bethany College of Missions
Mrs. Theresa Hartford- Director Bethany International Ministries
Mr. Steve Eliason - Dean of Men

They were presenting to our group the result of their assessment on the situation in Kenya. The assessment was made last couple weeks with the help of our Missionaries there in Kenya Dan Germo and his family. They finally came up with the decision of another month delay due the insecurity of the place.

The trip has been delayed -until March 1,2008. I ask that you will continue to pray for our team as well as the leadership of Bethany as they work on the Kenya's situation as well as the alternative sites for us. Pray for God's wisdom and leading in all this.

Pray for the Kenyan Government-leaders, churches, tribes- that the peace of God will be in their hearts. Pray that there will be truth which brings justice and justice brings peace in the nations.

Last Friday night me and couple guys from our class went down to a town called Jordan, MN to attend Bryan's Bachelors party. It was just a fun time for all of us. We were playing some games, eating pizzas, chips and drink pops. It was just a time to spent time with our brother Bryan before he get married. This guy loves to wrestle, so before we left that night we ask him come outside and couple of the guys took him down and was buried in snow..hahahahahah

It is a moment of waiting unto God in this kind of situation that we are now facing. As we are approaching the date that is set for our departure, we are informed with a lot of information that are given concerning the political situation in Kenya today. We as a team, we are just continue to lean on the Lord for this, it is His will that prevails. We are just continue to pray that God will bring peace among his people in Kenya.

Here are some areas in which I ask that you will help us in;

Pray for our team as we prepare for this- God will continue to shape us to be ready for his service. ( also for all things that are needed for this trip)
Pray for the Government of Kenya as they deal with this problem.
Pray for the families of the people that lost their lives.
pray for the people that are displaced and lost their homes.
