Good morning!

Its been a while since I put something on here. Its just because of my business that I wasn't able to update more often.

I just want to continue to ask for your support in Prayer for me as I serve here on the island of Guam with couple ministries here on island. I need guidance and humility.

1. Pacific Islands University- I am serving as the Maintenance guy here as well as the Alumni Services Coordinator.

2. I am also involve with MOM-Guam- Micronesian Outreach Ministry- Guam as well as other Chuukese Churches on Island. Pray that we will continue to seek God in everything we do.

I ask that you pray for me as I serve Him here in Guam that I may be humble and be obedient to His will for me and his work.

Maysak.

Earlier this month also during the celebration of the EASTER week there was a typhoon that swept over the Micronesian island which left the beautiful islands of Chuuk and few of the outer islands of Yap in total damaged and devastation. I have been touched by the quick response of many organizations, friends off island, and even people of Guam, Saipan and many others that are willingly collecting relief goods for our people in the islands. Killisou ren ami tong and love.

I like what the senator from CNMI was saying, " The Container is not full of materials that you brought but of your love for you brothers and sisters in Micronesia," One Love One Micronesia!!!

What is Easter for us? This may be different depending on where and how you brought up and how much you know about its historical and theological background. In the islands its just a time to come together and talk about how important it is to our lives as follower of Christ. Easter is a big gathering in the island churches. It is time that churches are meeting together having new songs composed and invited speakers for certain topics.

This time I have been invited to share with few groups including our own church here on island.

  • March 31, at the Micronesian Outreach Ministry Church- Yigo, Guam

  • April 2, at the Evangelical Churches of Chuuk Youth Rally here in island

  • April 3-6 Milan, MN.

It is been very challenging to prepare for all these but I also see it as my opportunity to share with the youth the word of God.

As I shared all these, I want to ask for your support in prayer for me as I share the word of God that I will be able to communicate clearly.

Easter- should be a time to revisit the work of God in his son Jesus Christ whom he gave for the remission of our sins. Our hearts should be burst out in thanksgiving for what He has done for all of us. We are saved, freed and loved!

Christmas became the most difficult time in terms of decision making regarding many things. I was having hard time deciding over many options of where to spend the Christmas break. One of the options that I took was that going to Maui, HI to visit my uncle who was going through hard time with cancer treatment. One that day that I flew out from Guam was also the day that my cousins were getting married at Berea Church. It was a bit difficult to miss out on those important gatherings with family and relatives. I made up my mind to go up and see my uncle so it was on December 14, I took off on the 7hrs flight from Guam to Honolulu.

My connecting flight from Honolulu to Maui was only few minutes after my arrival and so I had to get off the plane and get over to the Inter-island terminal for Hawaiian Airlines.

On my way to way to the flight to Kahului I was able to enjoyed a cup from Starbucks and it refreshing after a long flight from Guam to Honolulu.

I truly enjoyed the bbq and breadfruit that I had there. These are truly best to be together mai me bbq-beef. All these were not able to help me maintain my exercise.

Coming back!

It has been a while that I never post anything up here and its just because I have been busy with a lot of things although I always have in mind what I am going to post it on my blog. Where am i left off? Summer 2014. The summer that i had was truly both fun and hard. Last summer I was out there on the outer island and it was one of the worst summer that i ever had. It is because of what i experienced while was there. I faced a lot of challenges and am glad that I was able to stay in control when i faced it. Enough for that.....I thank God for giving me strength to face that.

                                                                       Uumw for Pik
Me and Jonathan Sam- seni Fananu
maii- to go with the pik in the uumw.

My summer was also a good one in terms of being with my parents. This time as times goes really fast I realize that they are in a difficult condition- Ra kan apwangepwang. I began to think about staying with them for the whole time just to be with them and taking care of them.

My dad and R-son my youngest brother.

During the summer we also had the privileged to travel to Pohnpei via the Caroline Islands Air. We spend couple weeks there in Pohnpei with grand-ma and other families. Our times was truly a busy time with the Microgames going on but I had to run around to do some paper work at the court of land. I am glad that I was able to accomplished the purpose of our trip.

My dad with his first cousin- Mama Julie Mathias.

I am thankful that I was able to watch some games during the Micro-games in spite of the business that I had. I was able to watch 2 men's basketball and Wrestling.

                                                             Chuuk team- warming up.
                                                                        Team- Palau
Chuuk center- Maks Kepwe #13 getting the ball.

Jun Tenorio- representing Pohnpei in Wrestling.
