I Tim 1:12
"I thank Christ Jesus our Lord, who has given me strength, that he considered me faithful, appointing me to his service."
As I read this verse, I bean to evaluate my life with in the span of time that I had to raise support for the mission that am preparing for. Any way there were times of thinking that "I can't do it"which is definitely true, but when I look into God's word He always remind me of the fact that He is faithful and He will always sustain the work of His kingdom. I thank the Lord because from now on, He always showing me that I'm always in need of Him. Recently I had a conversation with one missionary who was in the Islands of Micronesia and He mentioned that the Micronesian are not considering mission as something that they would have given up to it, He was saying that they were not mission -minded people. I believe that we were locked in to our own world which means that we only sees things that are within our culture. We have to remember that our culture is telling us that we should always be still which on the other hand is good, but I think today I don't see the effectiveness of our culture especially with those people that are away from the Islands.
I am not trying to minimize the importance of our culture ,which I believe that we are born in to it and we are blessed to be part of that heritage, but I think we have to step up and see how we should handle that mentality when dealing with the preaching of the Gospel. Come on...... Micronesian we are too small to receive the great Blessing, but our Lord is always faithful. It is always my prayer that this generation will stand up and say" Here I am Lord" I am willing to step out of the small islands to see far beyond my Micronesian horizon.
I Thess 5:24
24The one who calls you is faithful and he will do it.
