Typhoon Francisco travels near Guam while the Ministry Equipping Conference is on. There were many things that happened because of the course of the wind and rain and so we had to adjust things. The Friday Night session has been postponed to Saturday and that is, if the weather permits. We had to do some preparations for typhoon last night after the Governor's declaration that Guam is in COR 1 and so last night we had to evacuate our students into the safer building on campus. It was a little stretch for us to work till pass mid night but that was for the safety of our students and everyone on campus.
Ministry Equipping Conference 2013
This conference this year is mainly on doing ministry in context- we will be able to apply the Scriptures into the our own context by evaluating what does it mean in the original context oh which the Bible was written. Thursday Night we had 4 presenters and each for a specific area within that. We had to look at story of David and Goliath with those 4 areas.
Michael Owen- Dr. David L. Owen
Mr. Niko - Wycliff Bible Translation Mr. Choram
Fortunately we have around 40- 50 people for the 1st night and we have a group of church leaders coming from Palau and its great to meet some of our Alumni and friends.
Ladies from Palau at the MEC
Boys in their dorm during the typhoon.
Thankfully, the Typhoon is passing now and thank you everyone for praying for us, I hope you are doing good. Killisou and Chapur.
