Today is a great day for my group. We had a group discussion on the book of Galatians which we will be studying for rest of our time on campus. There were so many things that were stood out for me as I look into this book. One of them is that Paul was addressing a group of people who were given the word of God before and later on they were deceived by some so called legalistic-beliefs and thoughts. I think if we looking at this from a perspective of a missionary, we will see that he was dealing with a group of believers in a different place form his own. He came and found out that they had accepted another belief. This, just make me look into what we are actually preparing for as missionary in different cultures. I think we may run into the same situation as the Galatians, we may see our people being feed by the lies of other false teachings. So how would we bring this into consideration in terms of restoring their faith. Another thing it has to do with confrontation, here we have seen that Paul confronted Peter for his what he has shown in his life, just the way he handle himself among the people. What would be our way of dealing with these kind of situations? Man...... this book has just brighten up something in me as I look deeper into it.
We are so blessed that God has given us where we can access to all problem solutions.....We have his word and in there we can see all solutions to every single problem we face.
Today we also had a chance to meet in the missionary snack room where we prayed over a couple that they will be going back to China. It is just wonderful to see how God has put in some People's heart the eagerness to serve Him in different setting or culture. This couple are working with an Orphanage Ministry there.
I ask that you will continue to pray for us as well as all the missionaries around the world that they will humbly serve the Lord in working with the people group that they are called to.
