Resting day for me....

Today is a pretty resting day after the Linguistics class was over. We don't have things planned for this day so it's kind of open day for us. I spent the rest of my morning doing some logistical things that are needed to be done, so all are pretty much done. This morning I read an article from Dr. Mouw who is the president of the Fuller Theological Seminary in Pasadena California, he was speaking about "Rest". In his article he was talking some important aspects of rest that are important. First of all, he also point to the fact that we are going to have an eternal resting which is rested in Christ Jesus and what he has done for us on the cross, buried, and resurrection. We are confident that we will spent eternity with Him. There are so many aspects of rest that he point out in his article, there are some positive aspects and negative aspects. He was addressing his school to be a restless seminary in way that they would keep on reaching out for the world.
When I read this, there is one thing came into my mind I was reminded of the churches back in Micronesia. Someone sent me and email asking me to continue to pray for all the Evangelical Churches in Chuuk that they would follow the biblical principles in every situation that they may come across. I felt that this article is also apply for us there, because we seems like we are just go with the status quo. I believe that this is a time for us to stand up and keep pushing on serving the Lord. Lets us be consider as "restless evangelicals " for the work we are called to do. We serve the One who lovingly gave up his life for you and me.

Jesus makes me serve,
Billy
